At Event Cycle, we believe true sustainability includes accounting for the people on the planet too, and we support that belief in every action we take. While 2025 brought its share of ups and downs, it was a solid year that saw us strengthen our core operations to ensure that our future progress is intentional and rooted in lasting change.

The Mission

Our mission always has and always will be to reduce the environmental impact of events and provide opportunities to create positive social impact alongside that. Five years into our business, we are still transforming what some events treat as "waste" into vital resources by connecting event organisers and the materials they use and create with those who need them most once the events are over.

In 2025, we didn’t just focus on the UK; we expanded our reach to Miami, Lisbon, Tokyo, and Barcelona, proving that circularity has no borders.

Our 2025 Impact in Numbers:

  • £377,442 in total social value created for communities.

  • 46,513 individual items donated to charities, schools, and social enterprises.

  • 46,312 kgCO2e saved by ensuring charities didn't have to buy items new.

  • 8,891 kgCO2e diverted from landfills.

Circular Solutions in Action

We don’t just manage waste; we redesign the system. By advising on rethink and reuse strategies from the very beginning of a project, we keep materials in use and out of the ground.

Case in point: At Transport Ticketing Global 2025, we helped create a bus stop seating area made from 74% repurposed materials. After the show, this wasn’t scrapped as it usually would have been; it was moved to The Lawns Care Home, where it now serves as a reminiscence tool to help reduce anxiety for residents living with dementia.

Leading by Example: Walking the Talk

We’ve spent 2025 sharpening our own footprint to match our message:

  • Ethical Banking: We moved our accounts to the Co-Operative Bank, a move that slashed our financed emissions factor from 0.47045 down to 0.01224 kgCO2e/£.

  • Digital Efficiency: By simply switching from email attachments to links, we saved 447.88 kgCO2e across nearly 10,000 emails.

  • Refurbished Tech: We saved 463kg of CO2e by equipping our team with refurbished laptops and phones when old items were no longer fit for use.

Beyond Carbon: A Human Legacy

Sustainability is about people. From repurposing iconic Harrods stars to light up a car park where the homeless are served food, to turning event graphics into tote bags for food distribution, we are committed to impact you can actually see.

Looking Ahead

2025 was about the foundational blueprint; 2026 is about the build. We invite you to stop planning for "the end" of your event and start planning for its second life.
