Bearded Kitten, a global creative experience agency with a mission to champion fun and bravery, delivered a pastry themed pop-up in Paris. The two-day event brought together designers, product lovers, and tech enthusiasts in a vibrant space dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and networking.
Managing an exclusive, high-energy pop-up means creating unforgettable moments and high-quality temporary environments. In this case, it included a large, bespoke patisserie counter used to serve treats to the attendees, a valuable asset that was designed for temporary use but was far too useful to simply discard.
The agency's core philosophy is that every element of an experience should be purposeful. By working with Event Cycle they made sure the temporary counter extended its life beyond the final de-rig, turning a piece of event infrastructure into a lasting social legacy instead.
The Donation: A New Hub for Community Support
Following the event, the patisserie counter was transported back to Bearded Kitten headquarters before being donated to the Primrose Hill Community Church nearby. The Church runs vital, wide-ranging services, including a Foodbank, youth programs, mental health support, and work combating isolation and loneliness.
The Church’s team specifically requested the counter to help them drastically improve their existing coffee shop, which serves as a central hub for their community outreach. The counter now provides free tea and coffee to the community through the Place of Welcome Scheme, directly supporting their work in combating isolation and loneliness.
The Legacy
By proactively thinking about the circular economy, they ensured that a high-quality asset from a two-day event was transformed into a long-term, functional resource that directly supports vulnerable members of a local community. The unforgettable experience now has an equally enduring social legacy.
